CALL FOR STUDENT ARTWORK
2026 Congressional Student Art Competition & Exhibition
Sponsored by the Congressional Institute, presented by the 10th District of Michigan and Anton Art Center, and hosted by the Mount Clemens Public Library

About: The competition is open to individual students in grades 8-12 who reside within the 10th District of Michigan. Open to original, two-dimensional matted artwork only measuring no larger than 26x26 inches (including matting). Entries that meet the guidelines will be entered for jurying and display at the Mount Clemens Public Library April 18 - May 19, 2026.
Entry fee: Free to participate
Awards: One top selected artwork will travel to Washington, DC, for display from June 2026 to May 2027. First, Second, and Third Place ribbons will be awarded.
How to apply: Artists/Teachers submit matted artwork with Student Release Form to the MI-10 Office (30500 Van Dyke, Suite 306, Warren, MI 49093) or the AAC Office (125 Macomb Place, Mount Clemens, MI 48043) by the deadline.
Deadline: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 4pm

Macomb County Biennial Primary Student Show

About: Students in grades K-6 enrolled in private, parochial, public, or home school in Macomb County are eligible to enter this professionally juried exhibition through their art teacher only. Limit (15) entries per school. Open to all media. Open April 25 - May 22, 2026.
Awards: $525+ in cash and prizes, ribbons, and certificates
Entry Fee: $1 per artwork
How to Enter: Deliver completed inventory form, entry payment, and physical artwork(s) on receiving day.

About: LGBTQ2S+ artists, United States residents ages 18 and older, are invited to submit up to two original entries completed within the last four years to be juried. Open to all media; limit 40 inches in any direction. Open June 6 - August 1, 2026. Juror Phil Gilchrist.

OPEN CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
2026 National Wildlife Photo Contest
Presented by the National Wildlife Federation,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

About: The competition is open to individual photographers worldwide who are at least 13 years old in two age categories: Youth (ages 13-17) and General (ages 18+). (Ages under 13 are encouraged to consider Ranger Rick's Photo Contest.) Entry categories include baby animals, birds, landscapes and plants, mammals, mobile, wildlife, and people in nature.
Entry fee: $15 for (1) entry, $20 for up to (10) entries, $20 for one portfolio, or $25 for up to (15) entries & magazine subscription
Awards: (18) cash prizes include: $5,000 Grand Prize, $750 Portfolio Prize, $500 First Place (8), $250 Second Place (8), a certificate and calendar for Honorable Mention winners, and Winter 2027 appearance online for People's Choice winner

The initiative brings together workshops, talks, and professional development opportunities that give artists practical tools for building sustainable careers. About: The Anton Art Center is seeking art instructors and is accepting class proposal submissions for review. Mediums may include jewelry, drawing, painting, mosaics, and more. We offer flexible schedules, lesson plan assistance, training, supplies, registration administration, and marketing support. Our classes are scheduled up to four or so months in advance. Classes and workshops vary from one day only to one day a week for six or eight weeks, depending on class type and classroom availability.

About: The Anton Art Center is accepting exhibition proposal submissions for review from individual artists, artist groups, or guest curators. Applications are reviewed for a variety of limited available exhibition slots, typically between 10 to 24 months in advance. Exhibitions slots vary from 4-8 weeks for each of our two gallery spaces (Level 1 and Level 2). Proposals may be for one or both of the gallery floors.
